Shooting in the Dark Without Losing the Room

process · live-music · technique

A short note on exposure choices, restraint, and why the worst light often makes the most honest frames.

Live rooms rarely give you clean light. They give you spikes, shadows, and a few seconds where everything aligns.

I underexpose slightly, protect highlights on skin, and accept noise when it keeps the atmosphere intact. The goal is not a perfect file — it is a frame that still feels like being there.
